About Us

With my great-grandfather and his boyhood dog keeping a watchful eye, Pages from History hopes to bring moments from the past into the present.

Our Business Model

"Keep prices low, remove elitism in collecting, and do good."

Keep Prices Low

Inventory + Upkeep + Investment = Price: We do this for fun, not money.

No Rent = Lower Upkeep: You aren't paying for physical infrastructure when you shop at our store.

Upkeep ≠ Static: With each sale, the needed income for upkeep falls. Read below how we plan to use that reduction.

Remove Elitism in Collecting

In antiques, particularly with one of a kind handwritten items, the price is often subjective. The buyer is dependent on the trustworthiness of the seller. To reduce the subjectivity of our prices, we minimize listings over 100 USD. Higher prices mean fewer people can enjoy our history. We hope to expand what is available and who can enjoy it.

For items over 100 USD, we have a dedicated page, The Gilded Corner,  and no items will be over 300 USD. These items will have an explanation for the price. We believe a higher level of transparency is necessary for more expensive items.

Do Good

We have full-time jobs, a profit is not our primary goal. We plan on making a difference with any profits made with two primary goals. The first, provide small dollar grants to organizations helping indigenous American communities. The second, and longer term goal, is to invest in land to rewild and reintroduce native plant species for a healthier planet.

We started Engage with a Page to find another route to give back to communities while handling our history. Check out that page for more information.

Note: No items produced by or for the Italian government from 1922-1943 and the German government from 1933 to 1945 will be listed.
